Ranjit Goudar, MD
Medical oncology ยท cancer genetics
A medical oncologist whose practice centers on hereditary cancer risk, genetic counseling/testing/interpretation, and using the latest technology for precision cancer screening.
The science of inherited cancer risk has moved quickly over the past two decades. The work of translating that science into language patients can use to make real decisions has not always kept pace. That gap is where Dr. Goudar focuses his clinical and educational efforts.
His patients arrive with a range of starting points. Some carry a family history that has shaped their understanding of cancer for as long as they can remember.
Others receive a positive genetic test result with little context and have questions on what this means for their medical care and for their families.
A third group comes after a cancer diagnosis, where germline and tumor genetics may inform treatment selection.
Across these conversations, the goals are clear: use the latest medical, genetic and predictive information to determine cancer screening for patients and their families.

In Dr. Goudar's own voice.
“When an oncologist uses cancer risk assessment, we do not just save one patient. We can save an entire family.”
